Why do you take pre-orders?
In order for us to offer so many plate sizes, we need to batch material orders so we don’t get left with tons of inventory. Every production run we will update this page with expected timelines.
What is the expected production schedule?
Orders placed after August 1st will ship by the end of Nov 2024
Orders placed after October 1st will ship by the end of Feb 2024
Why does it take so long?
We handmake every plate and need time to fulfill current orders and batch future orders before buying plate materials. The lead time for getting textured plates into our workshop is around 4 weeks. We then need to process the artwork and deal with any back and forth with customers that may be required. Lastly, we need time to do the actual coating, packing and shipping.
Will it be like this forever?
No. Every production run we gain insights into popular plates and will be gradually stocking inventory. Our goal in the future is to be able to fulfill your orders in 2-4 weeks time.
